Margaret Lynch is a storyteller who writes about the humanity of people, places, and plights.
Her work has been published in The Examined Life Journal, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, untethered magazine, 805 Lit + Art magazine and elsewhere. Her writing has also been broadcast on CBC Radio The Sunday Edition and viewed on CBC Radio This Happened To Me. Lynch won the 2020 PRH Canada Nonfiction Book Proposal Prize for her memoir about how surviving an experimental bone marrow transplant transformed both her DNA and her life. She is represented by literary agent Meg Wheeler at Westwood Creative Artists.
She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of King’s College in Halifax, NS and is a member of The Writers Union of Canada (TWUC), Canadian Authors Association (CAA), The Heliconian Club, and the Creative Nonfiction Collective Society (CNFC). From 2020-2023 she was board chair and president of CNFC, leading the organization through a pivot to online events during the pandemic.
Margaret’s artistic journey began in 2015, following a successful career working with major brands in both private sector and non-profit organizations. She is an accomplished digital marketer with an active social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. As a grateful leukemia and transplant survivor, she fundraises, volunteers, and publicly supports the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, and Canadian Blood Services. Based in Toronto, she is happiest when she’s on her bike.
