I named my bike Freedom last year. In the midst of the pandemic, cycling was a blissful break from lockdowns and restrictions. It helped put my life in perspective and reminded me to be grateful, even with gusty headwinds and rubbery legs 🙂
This year, 3,000+ riders joyfully gathered in-person and cycled 200km+ for cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. My 12th Ride to Conquer Cancer was a tribute to everyone affected by cancer including Dr. Hans Messner—Heme Team founder, avid cyclist, and the man who performed my life-saving bone marrow transplant in 1988 as a research project.
Thanks to everyone who supported me this year! I couldn’t have done it without you!
We raised over $8,000, contributing to the total $16.37 million raised for cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
